Haledon, NJ -- The American Labor Museum/Botto House National Landmark located in Haledon, New Jersey proudly opens the exhibit Border Angels by visual artist Pamela Calore on September 1, 2014.
Border Angels features artwork that explores the contemporary experiences of the people who are crossing the desert border from Mexico to the United States. This program is made possible in part by a grant administered by the Passaic County Cultural and Heritage Council from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Border Angels will be on view through December 31, 2014. The American Labor Museum is headquartered in the historic Botto House National Landmark, located at 83 Norwood Street, Haledon, New Jersey. It was the meeting place for over 20,000 silk mill workers during the 1913 Paterson Silk Strike. The Museum offers a free lending library, restored period rooms, changing exhibits, Museum Store, Old World Gardens, educational programs and special events. The Museum's hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM. Tours are offered Wednesday through Saturday from 1-4PM or by appointment.
