Border Field State Park/Friendship Park 1500 Monument Rd., San Diego, CA http://www.friendshippark.org/ The purpose of our project at Friendship Park at the border of the US and Mexico is to create two cross border art murals that teachers on both sides of the border will participate in. The teachers are migrant educators on the US and Mexico border. They want to tell the story of their migrant students and make their situation and presence known to the world. The theme is understanding migrant students, language signs and symbols of learning and telling stories through art The murals will be on display at Universities, galleries , museums and community centers on both sides of the border.
